Position: Bus Driver (Regular Route)

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL driver's License with a Passenger Endorsement
  • Record of Sound Moral Character
  • Good Attendance and Work Record
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Must be willing to follow County School Board Policy
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport students to and from school on schedule as determined by the school principal and the transportation director.
  • Follow all policies and procedures of the Calhoun County Board of Education, Transportation Department, and the assigned school(s).
Length of Contract/Terms:
182 Days / Approximately 4 hours daily

As per Board salary schedule for this position

This position will be subject to the Students First Act of 2011. Calhoun County Schools reserves the right to fill this position by transfer of a qualified applicant who is already employed by the Calhoun County School System.

Under the Students First Act of 2011, no credit toward tenure or non-probationary status is earned in the initial school year of employment if the date of hire occurs after September 30.
