Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Valid Alabama Driver’s License
- Demonstration and record of strong moral character
- Ability to work with others
- Good attendance and work record
- Effective communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Meet background clearance requirements
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Calhoun County Board of Education deems appropriate
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates requisitions, receive purchase orders, and manage invoices
- Assist the Homeless Program with students and parents
- Resource Services such as making posters, laminating, book binding, etc
- Manages fund balances for all homeless and Title 1/School Improvement Funds
- Assists in food distributions, parent nights, parent involvement workshops, and parent supply pick ups
- Connects parents with Social Workers
- Greets parents and students
- Works with Community Partners
- Assists with Alternative School Students
- Student attendance support
- Employee leave management for payroll
- Enrollment/Withdrawal / Attendance support using PowerSchool software
- Daily bus communication
- Coordinates meetings and counseling appointments
- Places maintenance work orders
- Maintains front office and doors
- Manages fund balances for local school accounts & federal accounts
- Assist in ordering of materials, equipment, programs for the resource center
- Maintains Title 1 inventory and documentation for Calhoun County Schools
- Manages the Federal Programs & local school budgets with the McAleer Software System
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
- Maintain confidentiality
- Maintain proper and professional relationships with students and other employees
- Be familiar with and follow Calhoun County Board of Education policies
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Length of Contract/Terms: 240 days / 7.5 hours per day
Compensation: As per Board salary schedule for this position

Under the Students First Act of 2011, no credit toward tenure or non-probationary status is earned in the initial school year of employment if the date of hire occurs after September 30.
