Qualifications:
  • Completion of an undergraduate teacher education program in an accredited institution which granted a minimum of a bachelors degree and possession of a valid Alabama Teachers Certificate in Special Education
  • Valid Alabama Drivers License
  • Demonstration and record of sound moral character
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
 Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist, coordinate, and provide instruction for students qualifying under IDEA
  • Develop, revise as needed, and implement IEPs according to mandates of IDEA
  • Facilitate strong communication between other faculty members and parents
  • Other duties as assigned
 Length of Contract/Terms:
187 Days

As per Board salary schedule for this position

This position will be subject to the Students First Act of 2011. Calhoun County Schools reserves the right to fill this position by transfer of a qualified applicant who is already employed by the Calhoun County School System.
